The origins

The story of Gelindo features three cousins, three friends, and their love for ice cream.
It all began in 1970 when Paolo Baranello, the eldest of the three, decided to open a gelateria in the square of his hometown, Mirabello Sannitico, to pursue his greatest passion: making gelato. Thanks to the deliciousness of the gelato and the creativity with which the cones and cups are crafted, the small business grew and became known beyond the confines of the small town on the outskirts of Campobasso. In the years that followed, his love for gelato spread to his cousins Roberto Volpacchio and Paolo Di Biase, who decided to join him in the business.
In 1988 the big leap: the small ice cream shop makes room for a company and thus the Fresh Ice Cream with its historic brandGelindo GelatiSince then, the three friends have continued to select the finest ingredients and meticulously take care of every detail, to offer consumers an ice cream made according to the finest standards of the Italian Ice Cream Tradition.
